Half Walls, Please!

I'm loving the game, but I did notice that we're missing half walls. Is that something that can be added in a future patch or DLC?

Hmm there is half walls but only for the ceiling. Thats sounds funny ..

half walls on the ceiling here in the kitchen " screenshot" , unless you mean half walls from the floor never had a need to craft them.

I too would like to see half walls from the floor up. I always seem to have a need for them. So many idea's for their use. Thank you @Darth Vedda for set up a discussion and bringing this to the "DEV"S" attention.

Same for me, in the USA it is very common to see bottom half walls in houses. Especially in kitchen/dinning rooms.

Same here in New Zealand, bottom half walls are common here as well.

That, and make them compatible with upper half walls, to create custom "windows" inside. Especially useful for kitchen / bars.

also for front desks if you wanted to make the house into a business. right now I have to use Dressers that act like a Front desk to a business lol

Actually you can find one from workshop
As you said, there isn't half wall in the game

This I realise, but it would be more convenient to have it on the craft wheel along with the hammer etc. I use one from the workshop but scrolling forever to find the darn thing is a pain. Plus you can't tile or paint the one I have, unless there is one in the workshop that you know of that can be painted and tiled.

There is a at least one set of basic coloured ones in the Workshop, however if you look for 'sliders', one of the slider sizes fits them so that adds to the available options for them.

The limitations of items made for the Workshop means that creators can't make anything, including half walls, that works with the game's painting/tiling/panelling mechanic, unfortunately.

The 14 I made are in a collection, along with capping and end cap blocks here:
