I cant access the esc menu and need help

On my old laptop (the one i purchased house flipper on and not a mac) whenever i wanted to exit and save i would just hit the esc key and it would take me to the settings and i could save and exit there. Now that i have re downloaded on my mac after getting it i recently started back playing after getting a mouse and for the pass two days whenever i get ready to finish up i try to use esc also but it doesn't work so i haven't been able to save the pass two days because i don't know how to get to the menu. and have been force quitting. So i was wondering is it different for mac or is it just my computer?

Could be binding for mouse and Pad is effecting it?
Check bindings in House Flippers settings.
