building ceilings and floors

first i got to say that i really do enjoy this game. i like some of the houses that keep getting added in. i am sorta creep out a little from Smarta meyers house from halloween. i like that the alone home from home alone is in the game although I never got that one yet. i just found april fools day Easter egg of Joey and Chandlers apt from friends. lol I do like that you can now add a door to the gaping hole in the wall to the one house with no walls going outside on an exterior wall and then remove the door to complete the wall for making a bedroom.

one think that i would love to be able to do for the warehouse especially, where there is basically a loft type upstairs with 2 rooms, would be to have the ability to place a floor upstairs and a ceiling downstairs to complete it off to make a complete whole second floor to add walls to so I can add a couple bedrooms and additional rooms.

Unfortunately no, can't delete exterior walls, can't add roof or add floors as that will completely change the whole support system of the house and defeat the purpose of the game name house flipper, You will be able to add side expansions in the Farm DLC though but thats it

no it does not defeat the purpose of the game IMO because i am working on changing the interior of the house. i was talking about adding an interior second floor in the warehouse that is there already but only for a portion of the warehouse. I am not interested in building second floors or building my own homes from scratch or any of that jazz. i am excited for the farms dlc to be able to add exterior walls to the house for additions. not ripping down exterior walls other then the purpose of changing the interior after i added an addition to a house.

It can be done with some workshop content. Takes some trial and error and doesn't have all the same functionality. For example, you cant use in game flooring and can't paint or wallpaper workshop walls. But, I have found if you are building inside and place your floor/ceiling at the correct height, in game wall pieces can be placed and painted as normal.
