Tiling Speed
I swear back then there was a change to the tiling speed to make it almost as quick as paneling, but at one point they revert it back to slow tiling speed. Am I the only one noticing it or everyone has the same experience?
Is there a way to modify the game so I can get faster tiling speed?

Thank you!

Upgrades, check if you have any upgrade available for your cleaning tools.

I have all the perks.
I mean if you played since back then, there was a time when they made tiling enjoyable by making it speedy. Now it's just painfully slow.

My tiling is pretty fast....not quite as fast as paneling but close. If you have all upgrades and seems slow then you must have some issue.

My tiling speed hasn't changed, and it's pretty fast with the perks maxed, it looks kinda funny.

What I hate is the lack of speed of that window vacuum cleaner. I watch old videos in which people have a squeegee, and it is SO fast. Let's go back to that. Nobody vacuums their windows anyway.

I think you guys still misunderstood or haven't played House Flipper when they made tiling actually fast.

Look at this video around 20 minutes mark, that's the speed that I was referring to:

Is your speed that quick? Because on my end it is not that quick, It was that quick but maybe a few months back. So they must have changed the speed on patch or something.

And if your tiling speed is that quick, that means there is something bonkers going on with my game.

That is normal maxed upgraded speed for tiling that is in the video....that is how fast I tile.

Like I said it is slightly slower than Paneling because of the animation of mudding/mortaring the back of the tile

Then there is something definitely wrong with my game. I have all the perks and the speed is not like that anymore. I will try reinstall my game. Thank you for the clarification.

Ok, I watched and timed it, took him about a second per tile. I then went and timed myself, and it takes me about a second too. The main difference that might be misleading you into feeling he is faster is a change in animation:

He started with the tile right side up, then he flipped it, then he stroked the trowel over it from front to back, then from back to front, and finally he slaps it on the wall.

I start with the tile upside down, and stroke the trowel only once from front to back, then the tile goes on the wall. The whole thing FEELS slower, but it isn't because overall it is just as long; the action is just more stretched out now.

The much more involved animation makes the guy on the video look super speedy while tiling and especially so since he can only do one tile at a time so he slows down a lot in between (while I can tile right through for 10 cycles). Time yourself, and see whether that's not it.

Ye, I noticed that animation as well.
Mine was slower though, even with all perks.

Then I saw this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/613100/discussions/6/2565312097227747034/

And I realized that I also bought HGTV DLC few months back, it was the last DLC I bought after garden and bunker one before. So this might or might not cause it. I am redownloading the game atm and I will try fresh save.

I have the HGTV DLC as well, and it was the last one I bought. But hey, can't hurt to reload. Good luck!
