Painting outside?

Hi guys!

I am a little stuck on painting outside. When i paint outside walls, all the wood texture goes away and i just get a flat colour. It looks terrible. Is there no way to paint outside walls and still keep the wood look of the walls?
I seen a few panels in the store, but even they lose all texture when painted.

um what? Is this some kind of bot response? I am not having a bug problem, i am simply asking a question about how painting outside walls work.

Can you please explain better the issue you have for we can help you better , if you can place some pictures too

It is totally normal. That is what happens when you paint the exterior of a house, the walls look like dry wall. I would like to be able to paint and keep the wood, or the siding, or the brick texture, and I agree the paint finished texture looks horrible.

You see, there is no differentiation between painting walls inside and outside. Painted walls all finish the same.

Anyways here is a pic where i have painted half of the wall white and it is just flat white now.
So this was my question, is that normal or am i doing something wrong?

That is normal depending about what side of wood walls we are talking about , if he place wood inside and painting outside interfere with inside walls is not normal , that's why i request a better explanation about the issue you are experiencing

For the picture i see , that is normal , is like if you apply panels , the old wood will disappear and new one will take place , you can also apply wood panels instead painting and give it a wood look outside

ok then i understand. the outside walls can only use the colours of the wood panels in the store, if you want to keep the wood texture. Would be nice with more different coloured panels in the store.
