Bad Translation

At first greetings and nice DLC with some few things to improve. For example translation to german. Its horrible to read the tasks on the laptop. Such terrible german only google translater uset. So small advice. Leave the game in english or use better translator please.

Exactly my thoughts. Dear producers, I could help with the translation into German. I have experience as a lector for magazines & love to bring other languages into 'smoothed' translations into German. Please contact me :)

Someone else just replied in another thread:
"They certainly do use machine translation and the worst part is that even if you do try to help, they have a tendency to ignore it completely. A few months back I switched the game to Greek because I wanted to check something and noticed that the translation they used in Greek for the "disabled" night and day cycle setting was the word we use in Greece for disabled people. I sent them an email with attached screenshots explaining why it's wrong and what the correct word would be, they didn't even acknowledge the email and last I checked the game, they hadn't changed it either."

Sorry to hear your having issues with the translation - we have a group of volunteer translators currently who help the devs translate the game.

The whole work with the German translation CANNOT take more time than a weekend. 2*12 hours, with 15€/hour (that 3,5€ more than the minimum wages in Luxemburg) = 330€ (counts as a minijob in Germany, students in German Studies REALLY like such jobs). That is the price of 20 Garden DLC.

Volunteering isn`t a guarantee for quality. But a fun minijob for talented and poor students is.

Same goes for Dutch. I can help translating if needed.

For example:
"remove weed" is literally translated to "wiet weghalen". This dutch translation is the drug weed you smoke. "onkruid weghalen" is be a better translation.
