Allow restoration of Furniture when flipping houses and other suggestions
We can restore furniture when cleaning houses for clients but not when selling houses?
1.I think it would be great if we could restore what we want from the furniture and doors left behind in houses we have bought.

2. With regards to sales. We should not be tied into the highest bidder and then charged if we don't sell to them.

3.If you are going to allow us to change the stairs in one house, then it should be for all houses. It is too sometimish.

4. The refurbishments we carry out should be added to the final price of the house or we are trapped into providing the cheapest do overs in order to make a profit. This stifles creativity and lowers the enjoyment of the game. I find this aspect the most stifling aspect of the game. I want to create beautiful refurbishment and not have to pay a price for it. It is so simple and makes sense.

Agree with all of that. I was so exited for the refurbish and changing stairs in the old houses too. When I found out that was not an option it was such a dissapointment.

I want this too but it would be alot of coding to add it to every furniture piece thats why only the luxury jobs have it

100% yes. A house flipper has to be able to restore furniture and even doors and door frames. An additional cool option would be to restore a unique wooden floor by sanding, staining and polishing.

it would be nice but in my honest opinion it seems that they find a way to be disappointing in everything they give us. Ie they just gave us the option to place new door and remove old doors from exterior walls if we want to , but you cannot place the door as you would like the old way of replacing old exterior doors. it doesn't allow you to place it in the orientation and offset that you would like. example i replace an exterior door and i am forced to have it open in a way i don't want it and to place the correct side of the door out it puts the door on the far outside of the wall. i now have a deep doorway inside and have to paint over outside siding and add flooring if i want it to match inside my house. they don't seem to care to fix bugs, and it takes them a long time to listen to what everyone is complaining about. sad i really like the game but the dev seem to want to worry about HF2 and more DLC then what is a bit more important. I like that they gave us the option to be able to do something with the ceilings, But i don't think houses would have carpeting or hardwood flooring on ceilings. I hope that in the future they give us more ceiling related coverings. I like Bastards idea to restore door frames or any wood related items in the house. Maybe i am just looking for too much as Nite69 is correct in saying that the coding would get huge and the game file would take up lots of hard drive space. Then i could see people complaining how much room you need for the game and needing a huge hard drive for this game alone. lol

I disagree with some of your points:

1. Restoring furniture takes time. Also, where it is allowed, it costs nothing! So allowing us to restore any piece of furniture we wish will increase the time spent on each property for no good reason, as well as to "cheat" our way into bigger profits. Also even one-click restoration of furniture would require additional coding. Plus it would remove much of the creativity - seeing what fits into the space, picking colours and finishes...

I do agree about the door restoration though - could be something similar to window-changing in the luxury DLC. On the other hand, customising the doors you buy is fun and creative.

2. Fully agree on the second point.

3. Stair replacement didn't exist before the Luxury DLC release. So it's only available in properties in that DLC and those that were added to the game afterwards.

4. The refurbishments we carry out Are added to the final price of the house, especially bathroom fixtures, wall finishes and floor finishes. The trick is to not overspend on a small, cheap house which wouldn't sell for much money. I do agree that a breakdown of what the final selling price consists of would have been nice.

Here we are in 2025 and still this issue (suggestion) has not been addressed. It would be great to refurbish things in a house we purchased for re-sale. It would make the game more interactive and fun if that option was available.
