Moving multiple objects at once?
Lets say for example, you want to move a coffee table elsewhere, and there's stuff like a vase, tv remote, and some other stuff on top of it. If you grab the table first and place it somewhere that's not near where it originally was, all the stuff that was on top of the coffee table will fall onto the ground. And depending on what kind of object fell on the floor, it might end up "broken" and you have to dispose of it. And to avoid having to turn all the decorations you spent turned into worthless garbage, you either 1) have to pick up every object on the table and set them aside one-by-one, move the table to a position you are satisfied with (hopefully), and put them back one-by-one or 2) sell them and buy them back, having to navigate thru the shop menu for each item.

Now all of that headache could be avoided if you could move them all at once. Is there such mechanic in the game or no? Such mechanic isn't THAT difficult to implement, is it? I'm asking this question because I placed a wine cabinet stuffed it to the brim with bottles and wine glasses. And I need to move the cabinet elsewhere to make another room.

I wholeheartedly second this, even though I understand this may be a big task for the developers. Especially with desks, tables and bookcases, it would be extremely useful to have this feature.

It should be doable, since it's already in the game. Sometimes when you remove trash, you can click on one object and nearby objects also get removed. Like the trash outside the first house. Sometimes it removes all of them, sometimes just a single object.
Add a vote from me for this mechanic. I did a Bunker related job and the site came with a lot of non perishable goods that I had to throw scattered but unstacked on the floor while I arranged the shelves that most items were placed.

Has this issue been resolved in any patches?

For bunkers, I always find it easier to sell all the old stuff first. I buy new food etc instead of painstakingly moving every little item. Its still an annoying job, but not nearly as bad.

I can imagine its a lot easier to enable us to remove multiple pieces of trash. Moving for example a table full of stuff might be a whole different thing, coding wise.

I don't do clutter, so its not a big deal for me personally. I have maybe a remote (depending on the location of the table) and/or a plant on my tables, at most. I don't have the patience to fill up bookcases etc either.

For the bunkers in the email assignments that is not possible. At least, if I try to sell food (or other things the owner wants to keep) I get this message that "I'm not like that" or that is it is "unethical", and I cannot sell it. So I have to painstakingly move all the food stuff out of the way, and when the shelves are placed I have to place all items in, one by one. Pfff.

I really would like the same thing as OP. Some stuff should be moved as a whole instead of as loose items. I like to place bookcases full with books and other stuff and if I need to move them it is horrible.
