replacing and installing glass doors

I am currently remodeling "this house was on fire" it had a couple of damaged glass doors on the second story and i went to go dispose of the old ones to replace them. the walls closed up instead of leaving the same space that the door fit in. I know we can not demolish outside walls but how am i supposed to replace the broken glass doors with new glass dorrs with out the walls closing up the hole?

The glass doors are considered windows in the game. When you go to purchase them, you will find them in the windows section. Because they are considered windows, they work like other windows in the game. It is set up that a wall appears when you sell a window. This allows you to move a window to a different spot. Despite the wall appearing, you can still place the window. It's been a minute since I installed one, so my steps my be slightly off, but you should be able to install them anyway. Once you purchase your window, an outline will appear on the wall and a hammer in your hand. You use the hammer to break an opening into the wall. You can then place your newly purchased window.

Hit with hammer to remove the wall after placing windows now doors.
