Don't fall in the indoor pool and buyers don't seem to see new items
Trust me on this one - if you fall into the indoor pool you drown lol .... I filled in a report but was a bit stuck when it came to how did I feel? Panic wasn't an option ;-)
The other thing I've noticed is that non of the buyers seem to appreciate most of the new items although the beds get a lot of appreciation ... shame really but then I have learned not to expect much from most of them anyway

I've swum in every pool with lovely bubbles and not drowned. It was a great experience. Did you panic lol.

I just walked over to steps and then hit the walk and jump buttons simultaneously to get out of the pool.

But yeah, I decided to make the art gallery apartment into a spa with an indoor pool and THEN decided I didn't like my wall choice so had to squeeze in the scaffolding in weird places around the pool. I ended up a bit wet a few times trying to fix that!

I didn't drown - but fell through and got tossed out to the gate, and every time I tried to enter the house, I re-fell through the floor.. Talk about panic.. haha ..

I tend to agree with the OP comment (see reference below).

While renovation and redecorations are advancing, I keep an eye on all client reactions. Especially things they react about over and above their baseline requirements.

It seems to me that when targeting a specific client, the motto, “KISS,” is the house flipper path to take.

If you pull out all the stops and decorate the first three or four houses into showcase dream houses with the intent to make a huge ROI, the same client will win the auction bid every time.

I prefer to meet each of the client's basic needs first and foremost. After every client has their first starter house, I begin flipping houses in a “skies the limit”, “anything goes” style of architectural and stylistic beauty.

Does this approach, from a business point of view, make any sense to anybody else?

Maybe it was because I had a bunch of tiles in my hand at the time .... added weight ... but I couldn't get up the steps and the surface was a solid blue ... which was a tad freaky as my walls were white at the time! I had the choice of going back to the office ... so I went back to the office/shed, returned to the house, got rid of the pool so I could tile the walls then re-instated but it was pretty funny. I haven't tried to go in again as I've suddenly developed this phobia for drowning - God knows why ;-)

Anyway, the new pool room is finished with a spa bath etc - looks amazing but do I get any positive comments from my buyers? Nope, zilch, I have obviously got morons

Give ‘em what they want. It's their money they want to spend with you, and always remember, “the customer is always right.” ;-)
