The Luxury DLC, Really needed New Buyers.
I'm starting to think these are the six people I will see in Hell lol.
I was talking to a friend today, and she mentioned how she was disappointed by the DLC having the same old buyers as the base game. I have to agree, wish we could have gotten some new interesting characters to make it really feel like a new area.

Maybe a thing that can be added in the future, but overall I'm enjoying the DLC.
Have a great week everyone.

Luxury DLC job givers would be buyers for for expencive houses :) Let's dream of it

the buyers don't matter unless you want to do the achievements for them, you can disable them too by moving your office to each house you work on

That's not the point, It's about immersion. Turning them off just takes away that portion.
More options is always better, plus seeing new faces you can open up new opportunity's to learn more about the buyers likes/Dislikes.

I mean what's the point of flipping a house, if your not doing anything along with it.
It can be more changeling for some players to meet a room requirements, or even give them more Creative ideas while flipping the house.

I confess, I was hoping for new buyers, too. Maybe so ol' Trusk wouldn't be be the only big boss around. ;) I'm divided between liking the challenge of making a house for these weirdos and being annoyed at them. But some variety would be nice.

The downside with only having the 10 buyers from the original game is that most of them don't want big, complicated, expensive houses, so the houses in this DLC aren't of much interest to them. There are only 2 families who want bigger houses and they both tend to be very aggressive in their buying. We might end up seeing a lot of 'bidding wars' between the Jonson and Smoth families.

The buyers are the ones you hang on to for the longest time when you have completed the tasks in a new DLC and here I also miss more variety and many more buyers to choose from with more specific wishes, which I then have to try to comply with. Yes even a group of soldiers could be fat as buyers now that there are weapons in the game.

And also why no bunkers at new dlc ? Old dlcs bunker buyers not interested. Maybe some panic room will do. I will try next play to build a panic room hidden back of the bookcases :) without windows

Yes! A Panic Room is really needed for the Luxury DLC. It could fit into the device control they added and have it hidden by a Bookcase or "Fake Wall".

+2 for the panic room! Excellent idea.

The buyers matter if you want to sell your houses with a profit. The old buyers do not recognise the new furniture. Always moaning that there is no decent kitchen and no big and comfy beds. We were promised new customers, where are they? When you flip a house with a bunker, you get different buyers too. Same should apply for luxury houses.

I have not yet gotten to selling one of the new houses...so the old characters aren't patched to work with the new items? That's not great. I do like to make a profit, so, dangit.

You can sell the yacht for 400 - 500K profit without doing anything to it, its the quickest way to get a cash boost in game now (unless the DEV's fix it)

I agree or I was thinking they would throw in some new potential buyers. But I'm not complaining I'm so happy with the new content and ability to put your windows where you want them.
I also would like to be able to toggle a grid when putting items down. So many time iI've assumed something I placed was straight, only to notice from a different vantage point it is not.
vitarae1972 Oct 25, 2021 @ 7:03pm
I wouldn't want room requirements.
NanoGrrl Oct 25, 2021 @ 8:56pm
The new content is really nice! I agree. There are a couple of workshop items to help with gridding; they work more or less. But yes, a "show grid" toggle would be handy. I mean, in RL you can at least use plumb lines and chalf/string, never mind lasers and such. ;)
