Chimney? What chimney?

Has anyone found the "nice chimney" in the Old Lady's House (for purchase, not the HGTV map job)?

I just finished designing that house, and there is no chimney, which was mentioned in the house description in the listing.

There's a fireplace, but haven't had any dealings with a chimney in that house. Or any house, really.

i think you mean the house with the desk? the one where the fireplace is boxed up when you get there? (when you do the renovation version)

i got the chimney sweep achevement by accidentaly turning the fire on (i often do that, to see how it looks) it all went black and they talked about bats in the flue. i had to clean up a lot of soot around the bottom and chose to get rid of the fireplace.
so, if you have bought the house, try turning on the fireplace (if you havent sold it already lol) and see if that gets you what you are looking for?

I've already done the job long ago (many times) where the bats fly out of the chimney in the old lady's house (HGTV job). I already know about that. I got the "Chimney Sweeper" Achievement on October 17, 2020.

What I'm talking about is when you buy the house, the listing says, "nice chimney," but there isn't one. A chimney is built into a house; it's not something that magically appears by turning on an *electric* fireplace. (Not being sarcastic here, just emphasizing the point that electric fireplaces don't have chimneys.)

There is no chimney in that house. They probably meant to put "nice fireplace" there.

@ StrongerThantheBoys ah sorry, i hoped this was what you meant.
maybe they will add chimney pots and stacks in the luxuary dlc though? and you can allways make fake ones with walls (not the same i know, but doable even in the real world lol, some of them are horrible things of fake bricks and styrene)

I can't find it. The chimney in the old lady's house is not boarded up, yet in a video, it shows it is boarded, and when the fire is lit, the room fills with black smoke. What am I doing wrong??

In the job, you have to turn on the electric fireplace. Then the bats fly out and soot goes everywhere.

It's just house sellers ads, like "A breathtaking panorama" when you have just a window and such, or any other mention they make in all the other houses.
You don't have to take literally every single word you read in the house description.

It's false advertising. It's one thing for an ad to say "breathtaking views" when it's just a window, but saying "nice chimney" when there is none is false advertising. That could not happen in real life without consequences: you can't advertise the house has something it doesn't.

My original post was not to stir silly debates, just to point out that there is no chimney despite one being advertised as a selling point of the house.

There's a fireplace and a mission related, so "nice chimney" it's simply an hint where to look, as the "House that's hiding something" hint to take a look at the basement, that's it.
