How to get the Johnson Family to buy?
I'm giving them plenty of bedrooms, some toys (but not in the bedroom!!) and a big kitchen and living room...still, it's the couple with the baby that always comes on top? What do they want??

You're not going to believe this but most people have problems trying not to sell to the Johnson family :D. That clue about toys not being in the bedroom is a red herring. They complain if you don't do children's room.

Also they're not that bothered about the amount of bedrooms, a thread down below is complaining about how they can't get them off first place for a one bedroomed hovel with no kitchen!

I've found that if you put an dining table and chairs in the house Johnsons appreciate it more than the couple, also they're not big into expensive furniture because of the kids, whereas the couple like a bit of luxury.

And don't worry about Granny. They really don't care whether there's space for her or not!

Yeah, they like separate bedrooms, with toys, for their 3 kids. Quite cheap furniture, large enough dining table to fit them all, family room is a necessity, and minimum 2 bathrooms. I usually place a cheap desk and bookcase in each kids room.

I've pretty much also given granny her own bedroom and bath, sometimes even a small living room if the house has enough space, especially with a basement.

I've never understood the "bedroom isn't a place for toys" because they DO WANT toys in the bedrooms, at least for the children's rooms.

I have more problems with the Smoth's always hogging the top spot.

What would you qualify as a "family room", is it like a living room?

Have you verified your files? If not try this. Right click on the House flipper item in your games list. Click on properties >local files tag > verify integrity.

You'll have to do that and if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall before they'll look at anything else.

the Johnson family likes extra rooms, five bedrooms, or two kitchens, or two living areas etc things like that will push them to the "top" of the list

For the tv in the family room you need to take the standing one and a tv table, otherwise it won't be a family room, and add in the living room the childrens table and chairs from the kindergarden, that helps as toy area, add a few toys too. In my german version it still stays a livingroom, but they count it in the end as family room, which is kinda confusing too. I use additionally a big couch if I can, but a small one is also good, one living room chair, a coffee table and a couch table. Add a picture and a carpet and it will be done.

The Johnson family is fine with 3 bedrooms in total (just add enough beds for all their children).

Means one room for the parents, two for the children, if you can create more rooms for the children they will pay even more.

(A sauna seems to always generate more money no matter which buyer)

They need two bathrooms and a cheap kitchen and not too expensive stuff everywhere.

And two bedrooms need to have not only childrens furniture but also toys in them. Best you take the beds with a desk for the school homework underneath, best are the ones with a wardrobe sideways and add a chair. Of course you can also take those as seperate furniture, just make sure you got them all. Then add toy kitchen and tent or the rocking horse as well as bunny and ball or teddybaer. And they will recognize the room suddenly as childrens bedroom.
