Also they're not that bothered about the amount of bedrooms, a thread down below is complaining about how they can't get them off first place for a one bedroomed hovel with no kitchen!
I've found that if you put an dining table and chairs in the house Johnsons appreciate it more than the couple, also they're not big into expensive furniture because of the kids, whereas the couple like a bit of luxury.
And don't worry about Granny. They really don't care whether there's space for her or not!

I've pretty much also given granny her own bedroom and bath, sometimes even a small living room if the house has enough space, especially with a basement.
I've never understood the "bedroom isn't a place for toys" because they DO WANT toys in the bedrooms, at least for the children's rooms.
I have more problems with the Smoth's always hogging the top spot.
What would you qualify as a "family room", is it like a living room?
-Sofa
-Coffee Table
-TV
-Carpet
-Toy
-Bookcase OR Picture
-Kitchen Cupboard OR TV Cabinet
Have you verified your files? If not try this. Right click on the House flipper item in your games list. Click on properties >local files tag > verify integrity.
You'll have to do that and if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall before they'll look at anything else.
The Johnson family is fine with 3 bedrooms in total (just add enough beds for all their children).
Means one room for the parents, two for the children, if you can create more rooms for the children they will pay even more.
(A sauna seems to always generate more money no matter which buyer)
They need two bathrooms and a cheap kitchen and not too expensive stuff everywhere.
And two bedrooms need to have not only childrens furniture but also toys in them. Best you take the beds with a desk for the school homework underneath, best are the ones with a wardrobe sideways and add a chair. Of course you can also take those as seperate furniture, just make sure you got them all. Then add toy kitchen and tent or the rocking horse as well as bunny and ball or teddybaer. And they will recognize the room suddenly as childrens bedroom.
