Lost all my office progress after buying a new house

Just like in title, just to make peeps aware, I have lost all my office progress when i bought my first house. Nothing major all the cleaning i did, radiator, painted walls etc.

me too. Bought the third house yesterday, went to my office, but all the progress was gone. it seems, that the house was reset by program.

I didn't lose my office after buying a house, but after buying a house, renovating it for several hours and selling it today just 15 minutes ago. But I sold my first office two days ago and moved into the house with the secret. Then I bought the Mafia boss's house and renovated it. There was an auction. After negotiating, I was able to get more money out of it and so I sold the house. Back to my office it was ... gone :( Just set back like the rest of you. I was so happy with the new office / house and now ...

same just logged into the game and my office is how it was before reno! other houses are fine! also cant find the laptop

Yeah, many posts about this on these Discussion forums. I lost mine twice. I learned to just barely fix up the place, and NOT make it a nice house; just First Office or Almost Only a Garden, so you don't lose much the next time it happens.

One of the most suspect houses is the 2-story Semi-detached house...not sure if this is the one that lost yours, but it's common for people to have issues with that house in one way or another. Even just doing the "Child on the Way" HGTV job can cause an office to revert back to its original trashy state.

It's so frustrating. All the time and love that I have put into the house to make it a beautiful home and office for me. I'm really sad

I know how you feel. I had designed our dream house, putting over 20 hours of love and attention into the house, only to finish a job (I'm pretty sure at the 2-story semi-detached house) and suddenly I was back at the "office" with my laptop in my hands and everything overgrown and trashed like it was in the beginning. I was heartbroken.

Please let the developers know that this is still a major issue. I know they've tried fixing it, but obviously whatever they've done has not worked.

The developers need to respond to this. I have about 4 hours in house with bunker. Did a huge remodel, added walls with sauna...
All gone when I moved office.
No good. What is point of game if we just install radiators and paint from the email list?
Are there multiple saves so we can go back?
I'll wait to find out what's up before I play again.

Look in the pinned posts; I believe there are instructions there on how to restore one of your backups. If not, look through the Discussion posts. There are about a million posts (not really but it seems like it) about this very issue, where the developers have responded on how to restore a backup.

I have the same problem. i have the exactly the same thing but it buys me a house that i didn't buy and puts the hole renovation of my office in that house whilst the house is all dirty. IT most likely buys me a house that i just sold.
they need to fix this

Same here. Done up the house, the garden, everything just the way I wanted it. Then bought another house and moved my office there. Upon returning to the house I've just done up, (to put it up for the garden contest and sell it) discovered that All the progress has been lost. Even the trash removal and the lawn mowing....

It has happened to me twice. I got my home just about the way I wanted it. Saved the game, logged out. When I came back on about one hour later. It went right back to how it was, had to start all over again. Frustrating

I have tried following the instructions about restoring a lost save. Twice. It didn't help.

However, this gave me an idea. I have noticed that only the Auctionable House got reset, Not the email orders. Could it be because they are designed to be Re-startable and the houses aren't (at least not until you sell each of them once)? I have started a new game on the Same profile (the "Default") multiple times before, without ever "finishing the game".

So I have started a new game yet again. However, this time, I did it on a brand new profile. I have noticed that it runs a lot better this time around - no freezes or glitches so far (fingers crossed). Previously, they got worse with each "new game" I started.

So maybe the problem lies with the game's cache and it failing to overwrite saves properly. I hope the devs see this post and it helps them to resolve the issue for everyone.
