Light problem

I've noticed that, when I turn the lights on in a room, then leave, they aren't on anymore. A friend of mine doesn't have this problem, and I don't know if it's just me or others too. It isn't... very realistic, and on top of that, when I was working on the Hackers loft, it was rather creepy, and when I tried to make it bright and cozy, the only lights that stayed on when I went from room to room were: the lamps. So it wasn't very "cozy".

Last few things for this post The lights up on the roof in the main area of the "Hackers loft" were only on when I was upstairs. (I don't know why.)
I reeeeeeeaally like this game and look forward to the Pets DLC (like a lot )

And I'm glad that the luxury DLC is really close to releasing .

It is a setting in game. From the main menu go: >Settings>Game Play>ECO Lighting System. If you un-check this, the lights will stay where you switch them.
