Hey, at the moment the developers are still working on optimisations for the game. In the meantime, you can try lowering your graphics settings and running the game using DirectX (Windows).
Sorry for the inconvenience.
i'm running the game at the lowest possible settings but i only get around 15-25 fps
What does DirextX (Windows) mean as windows supports DirextX version's 9 , 10, 11, 12. It also supports DirextX below 9 with additional file downloads.

The game supports DirectX 11.

I'm a little confused what you mean? I'm not sure about "Below Average Gamer" ?

If you post me you're system specs I can assist.

Do not expect the game to be ready yet as it has been released to the public as complete full game for well over a year now and is still being optimised and bug fixed. All being said i do follow the game and have since Beta version, the development is very, very slow. It should be in Early Access or Beta still not Full released product.

Very simple to get them. Click on "Help" at the Top of the Steam Client then select System Information" which will bring up your full computer specs. Then Cut and Paste them in here.

Go to Steam under "Help" menu in Top left select this then select "System Information" and click. A new window will open in steam a smaller one with all you're system specs, just highlight or select the text inside the window then copy to a text document and save for future reference and copy in to forum here, but put
in front of the text and then
at the end of the text you just copied.

not sure what you guys need but here it is
Do you know which graphics card you're machine uses? is it the Intel HD 4000 or the Nvidia NVS 5200M ?

According to the specs OP posted, it's the Nvidia NVS 5200M
Yes i was thinking it might be, but wanted to make sure as the intel HD 4000 is not very good for gaming. If it is the Nvidia it is a little low on VRAM on 1024 MB or 1 GB.

I would try with the graphics setting making sure the resolution is at 1366 x 768.

1. So go to Settings.
2. Go to Graphics.
3. Use these settings below:-

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1815915911

Then go to advanced graphic settings or Advanced. see below:-

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1815915958

Try that out?
Also check the In game FPS counter check box in General settings for a tiny FPS clock display in the top right corner of game screen. so you can see what FPS you are getting.

If you can tell us what FPS you are getting after the changes let us know. So we can do everything we can to help you get to play the game.
You have quite old laptop that was not really meant for gaming in the first place.

It is only 7 year old, it would depend on the game as well?
