How to activate the apocalypse DLC?

For some reason the apoc dlc isn't showing up? Is there something special you have to do in game to activate it?

I don't even have a dlc check box in the steam library like I do for other games with dlc, so I'm not sure what the issue is? (Whenever I choose to download the apoc dlc from the steam store it just launches the game on me.

Please check if you have buy the free DLC. then you have the check box in the library. If not buy again ^^

There is no "buy" option for the DLC, under the Price it says "free" and instead of "add to cart" it says "download" and when I click "download" it just launches the game (without the DLC active.)

On the Steam page for the game, about half way down is the DLC section. just below that is a button "Check for DLC". Click on that & it should take you to the Steam page for the DLC, & you should be able to 'Download' the DLC. You may also want to go to the Downloads page for Steam, to "authorize" Steam to download the DLC. Often times the downloads are scheduled for different times, or won't run while a game is active. But you can override the defaults & have Steam download the files right away.

When done, you should see them listed in the DLC section of the games page in Steam.

Can you please post a screenshot of where to find this button Merck? I'm not seeing it on the page.

Sorry I am unable to figure how to add an image without using the screen snapshot (F12). I saved an image & put it into the folder where all screenshots are saved, but it won't let me upload that image to online.

But if go to the Steam page for House Flipper - Just below Achievements is the DLC section. On the left side is an image, & on right side is a list of any DLC you have already downloaded. Just below this section is a gray box with text; "Find More DLC In Store". This is just above the Recent News section.

Alternatively, on the right side of the games page in Steam is a list of Links. There is one that states; "DLC". This takes you to a page where you should be able to click on a box to "Add all DLC to cart".

Also, have you checked your Downloads to make sure not sitting there waiting to be installed? If you hover mouse over the LIBRARY tab at top of page, then at the bottom is Downloads.

I finally got it working, I just installed the game on laptop and after following your advice activated like normal there, and now seems to be working correctly on my main gaming computer. No idea why it was being so fussy before this, but thanks for your help Merck, much appreciated. :)

open the dlc menu on the games page in your libary, untick the ones that you have but don't show in-game, tick it again and let the game update; happened to me with both apoc and hgtv.

Can someone help me please. I bought House Flipper and Apocalypse says it is free. It shows on my gameplay but when I click on it the game overlay appears and I can't get Apocalypse to load. It just loads the main game. I also tried downloading it and it opens the main game as well. Thank you in advance.

That's normal! The DLCs are just expanding the main game. The extra-items are there for you to use at will (you may not even recognise them, since they are not marked in any way), you find the jobs in your emails and the houses in the browser. The later DLCs have jobs on separate mini-maps and you have to do the jobs first to unlock the houses, but not in the Apocalypse DLC. The jobs and houses are marked with a "radioactive" symbol and they all revolve around underground fallout-shelters. You also have (only) three different potential customers, who want to buy these bunker houses. (And they are total nutjobs )
