99 % clean dirt

I just got the game and started working on the couples house for their kid and I'm currently stuck on 99 % clean for kids room, I looked everywhere and cant find the last 1% dirt

You have thoroughly mopped all the walls, floor, windows etc?

As you've just started the only thing you can do is methodically sweep your brush over every inch of wall & floor. Move the furniture and do behind them. Then sweep the furniture as well. Don't forget window sills.

As you progress invest your perks in the mini map that will show you where the dirt is so you don't have to go through this every time :)

Often it will count dirt that's actually on a wall in another room. If you've not cleaned all the other rooms yet, that's a likely cause as well.

That's why I give the entire outside of a new house a good hosing down before I go inside, just in case.

yea some dirt in other rooms can clip through walls and confuse you
