Hucksters house hole in floor

I can't seem to figure out how to patch the hole in the floor on huckters house.

Using the plastering doesn't seem to do anything and it doesn't appear i can simply lay stuff over it or use the demolition tool.

I'm sure there's something I must be missing but i can't seem to figure it out.

Put a carpet on it?

there's nothing to patch, just cover it with a rug. i put the small square pink carpet over the hole. it covers it completely, i believe.

Well that's annoying.

You should be able to just fill it with tons of plasterboard or concrete.

Oh well.

I just turned it into a laundry room.. 2 washers (since there's no dryer), and put a sewer grate from the Survival tab over it so it looks like a drain..

I turned it into a sauna room, after I sold off all the cash... too bad I couldn't just put the stones in the hole, but no stones by themselves

I remove the door - block over the wall. Then I remove the wall next to the end bedroom. This space now becomes a walk-in dressing area with a carpet over the hole.

It wouldn’t let me cover the hole at all, so I took out the hallway door, opened the space to the bedroom next door, painted/tiled, added a door, and turned it into a powder room. It worked and I was able to turn the bathroom behind it into a sauna. 🤷‍♀️

If you have the garden DLC I found that I could mostly cover the room in wooden panels and turn it into a sauna, for some reason it wouldn't allow me to put a rug over top of the hole.
