Grid System For Placing Objects In Perfect Alignment?
Does this game have a grid system? You know like to put on the ceiling and floor so you when you go to place the overhead lights they're even and in a straight line instead of one directly in the middle and then the next one looks like it's in the middle but slightly off to the left or right so it's uneven and doesn't look right.

If the game doesn't have it does anybody else think we could benefit from having one?

DIY FLOOR AND CELLING GRIDS

or by clicking....FLOOR AND CELLING GRIDS CLICK HERE or simply go to theWorkshoptab and search "Grid(s]" and you'll have 6 options from 2x2 to 8x8 for ceilings and floor grids

Special thanks to renaetieman for creating something to help the OCD in all of us

There are both ceiling and floor grids but no wall grids yet

Game does not have a visable grid, yes it would be a nice addition for OCD people like myself.

Lights and other items do snap to a invisible grid but the grid is very small so it's still a pain to get things lined up across a longer span.

As long you can toggle it on/off. I'd rather play the game without a grid as it's more fun that way.

I can understand that, I would mostly play with it off as well It just when it comes to lights it's hard to tell where the direct middle of the room is from the way you look up making it harder to place

I would love this so much. Setting up the hooks and shoe boxes in the kindergarden brought out the OCD in me...

Yeah is there a way to turn off snapping or adjust its sensitivity? :steamsad:

Search for "grid tool" in the House Flipper Workshop. There isn't one for walls, but several sizes for ceilings and floor/ground. Once you've downloaded it, just buy it on your tablet and sell when you are done.

As a game that caters to OCD'ers that would be awesome. We've been playing hard mode this entire time :P

I was literally building temporary walls to help me align lights...
Or having a tool such as laser, or even simple string or chalk to "draw" the line on either walls, ceilings or ground for such alignments that can be adjusted by the players and then taken off (just like in real life.) Lack of it is the reason I don't deal with too many wall decorations such as lights or molding and refrain to big light fixtures on ceilings that I can get away with in my mind. Otherwise it drives me nuts.

Yeah a laser level would also be great since it can be used for everything not just ceiling and walls but for laying down rugs or aligning tables and etc.

My laser level is the #1 tool used in my toolbox
