Lights and other items do snap to a invisible grid but the grid is very small so it's still a pain to get things lined up across a longer span.
I can understand that, I would mostly play with it off as well It just when it comes to lights it's hard to tell where the direct middle of the room is from the way you look up making it harder to place
Where is the setting to turn off teh grid?
2 years later yes x)
Yeah a laser level would also be great since it can be used for everything not just ceiling and walls but for laying down rugs or aligning tables and etc.
My laser level is the #1 tool used in my toolbox
