Can't apply floor tiles?

I was in a mission, I put wall tiles and it worked fine, but I bought floor tiles and tried putting them on the floor, but nnothing. It didn't even want to display me the "apply to floor" thing and not even the white rectangle that surrounds the space where you will put it..

You click in one corner and then click in the opposite corner to apply. It's not a click and hold job like wall tiles.

yeah i got that later, but in one of the jobs, the game wanted me to put wall tiles on the floor which dind't work...
I know how to put floor tiles now lol

I remember one ask for grey and white tiles, and there are the same tiles for both floors and walls
