Dirt issues

So is the dirt meter in the game always right? Cause I am in a very tiny bathroom right now with no seeable dirt anywhere and it's at 94%. I did take the dirt on the minimap thing but I don't have all ranks of it, is there a way to reset the perk points or whatnot?

Edit: And then I just spin around like a madman and then get that one non-existent spot of dirt. -_-

Bathroom... I hate cleaning the bathrooms, there is always that one spec of dirt almost impossible to see around the drains. With no perks in cleaning, can be tricky to get to as well. :)

Also, I'm cleaning a bathroom right now and need to mount a Washer, but it's not a washing machine. What am I supposed to mount there?

Edit: Also how do I reset perk points?

Sometimes the dirt can be very small, mostly unnoticeable. If I ever start a new game the dirt on mini map perk is the first thing I'm maxing out.

Tbh the game should recommend this. It's literally impossible especially on dark brick surfaces like I just had to do, to find dirt.

sometimes you have to move some furnitures to expel the dirt or clean away garbage.

use the mouse to point at the empty installaion, and it will tell you what it need.

Don't forget the dirt could be outside or in the next room. Simply wave your mop everywhere in that area then see if it's on the other side of the wall. You can usually tell which side it's on by where the black piece is sitting. Walk into a dirty house and don't clean, just study where those dirt marks are on your radar. Don't forget that even on the highest level that radar isn't all 100% of the dirt. I was told by a buyer on my 5th house it was dirty and the radar showed it as 100% clean. I've even found a bag of garbage hidden in the bushes outside one house.
