Stuck on "Fixing Electrical Socket"

Okay, so i'm doing one of the first missions where you paint the walls gray and some other color, and she also asks you to fix the "broken electrical" socket, but it doesn't tell me how to fix it, and there is nothing to buy for it. Could someone help?

Look at it, should ask you to press E to assemble

It is hidden behind the stove. And there is one in the front bedroom. It will prompt you with E for assemble. Broken ones also look a dirty brown.

Also the other broken socket in the house can move around. It is random. I did the mission twice and it was in different rooms both times.

When I said hidden behind the stove I meant the cabinent next to the stove.

Get halfway through a socket repair then ESC out of it. It's fun to stand there and watch it spark.

For anyone having the issue where your electrical socket has all three wires in and it won't let you do anything while its zapping. Restart the mission, only put one wire in first (ground) and then screw it down. The other two will go in after that :D

I'm stuck here, too. Painted the walls with no problem, but when I press E to interact with the electrical sockets, nothing happens but a close up of the broken socket with a blue dot in the center.

it also shows on the minimap as a small red device, not sure if that was related to a perk.

1 - Find the "rusty" outlet and interact
2 - There is a screw on the center of the face-plate
3 - Remove the entire face-plate (might be automatic)
4 - Side screws on the wire housing, and remove
5 - Put in all three wires - then screw them in
6 - Reverse disassembly in steps 2-4
(housing, side screws, face-plate, center screw)

PS - Green (yellow striped) is the Earth cable, btw.

I'm having trouble highlighting the electrical socket parts. It will highlight for a second and then the highlight disappears.

Finding the outlets is not a perk, you just need the mini map and it shows up as a small red icon in the area you are in.
