Repair power outlet

How do I do repair the power outlets. I dont seem to have any paticular tool for it so ive been trying with my hands. I assume its the outlets with wires poking out. Cant seem to find a way to make it work.

I've just completed my first paint job (the pink and gray) but it also asks me to mount two devices in the same room, But i can't find anyhing that will let me fix it.

So for those outlets, you dont actually buy anything. And from what I'm guessing, they can be hidden behind furniture. Check for red markers on your minimap in all the rooms, that should tell you where the outlets are. From there, you just click E to "Assemble" them and go from there.

It's not in the same room. one is behind a bed you need to remove and the other is in a room besides a bed.

It should be somewhere behind the bed or shelf.

Ok i found mine, they were both in the kitchen. Thank you for the tip with the minimap :)

Apparently I was looking at the wrong outlets. I saw some that looked like they had wires sticking out. One was by the computer. The actual outlets was rusty looking and also marked on the minimap. Thanks for the assist guys.

though I found one, pressed "E" it zooms, but no action follows...
Do I still miss something ?

I am only able to insert the wires into the outlet. The middle screw is highlighted but I can't seem to tighten it down and there are occasional sparks coming from the wired. Am I mising something here?

Having sort of same issue in "you know i hate kids" . Pulled out the socket, replaced it. put first wire in,tightened. put second wire, tightened. put third wire in. didnt seem to go all the way in, still highlighted, but unable to move it. Sparks coming out of it. Not able to do anything with it

The one I am having problems with is the single outlet in Amaranth Walls. The middle wire goes in but I cannot tighten the screw. It will only let me put the other 2 wires in. I exited the game, came back in, and although the outlet was reset it did the same thing.

Update: This is realy bizarre! My issue was with the single plug outlet behind the bed. I restarted the job and now the outlet is the double plug one by the desk in the same room. Weird but at least I was able to complete that one.
