It's quite hard to implement a workshop in a game like this. That's why we need to properly prepare House Flipper for it. It takes time, Garden Flipper is not just an another expansion. It will change many details in the base code and we are adding a tons of new items, mechanics and we won't stop on it. Many cool updates will come :)
You do not need a workshop to enable user made assets. Besides that, you have had a year to finish the extremely lacking base-game, but instead chose to grab some extra cash first. The game isn't even near finished and the new content is locked behind a paywall. What's your explanation for that?
Why do they need an explanation? It's their game. It's their time and effort being put into everything. They have every right to want to earn money from it all. Nobody is being forced to buy the garden DLC.
So because it's their game, I may not ask for further explanation? That's quite a bold and illogical statement. And because the game itself is incomplete and not marked as early-access, you are in fact forced to buy any DLC to get a decent amount of content. You're entitled to have your own opinion, but don't try to refuse others of theirs.
I did not compare it to any other company, mostly because any logical thinking human being would see the disgrace and greed in their decision-making when compared to other companies, even smaller ones than themselves.
Calm down man, do you think this is EA or something?
Its a indy company that needs to make money, if you think they are swimming in cash, think again.
DLC is a way to create revenue.
It is a pretty nice game, the DLC is good as well, and yes, implenting a worksop is not easy.
Not everything is as easy as you think it is, but you do not have to be a ♥♥♥♥ about it.
Your salt is a year past due. Nice necro, though.
I'm not sure how the game is now, but at the time of the release of their first DLC, the main game was unfinished and bug-ridden. There was no excuse for them working on anything but fixing the main game at that stage. And not once did I state it was easy, not once. But letting people import their own assets—with or without workshop—isn't rocket science. It's really not, fanboy.
About a year later and still no workshop, I rest my case.
Wait! You're telling me a company is trying to make a profit off of a project they've put countless hours into making?! That's outrageous! I've played this game practically since release and not once have I complained about it being "buggy" every game has bugs so i don't know what you were smoking when you played it. The game had plenty of content to flip houses for hours at launch not to mention all of the free content they've added on top of the dlc's. lastly, this is the gaming industry bud you're not gonna many high quality things for free, sure games can be free but more often than not all the content on top of the base game costs money. So either spend a few bucks and get more content and support the company or just don't play the game at all.
