Using scaffold in the house

I am painting the Pink Palace (I think that's the name) and I can't get to the top of one window in the stairwell. The game tells me to use a scaffold. I can't set the scaffold down on the stairs or on the landing or on the downstairs floor. I've never used the scaffold before. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's the game. Everywhere I try to set it I get a red highlight rather than green. Suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, scaffolding is not purposed for indoor use. If you jump, you should be able to reach those walls without any problems.

If you can't reach use a table or chair to climb up, then sell it afterwards. That is what the small step ladder is supposed to be for.

Thanks, I'll try that. I tried the step ladder first because it was less money but I couldn't get close enough. I don't know why the game kept telling me to get scaffolding.

Seen this before, I placed step ladder on the top of the stairs I was then able to reach the top o the window

I was able to paint that window from the outside of the house using the scaffold.
