we're aware of the issue, but could you tell us:
- did you use alt+F4 shortcut to leave the House Flipper?
- did you use a backup save files?
Thank you for an answer. o/
I'm now thinking those two issues are related based on what I saw...
When my Dad went to the construction house and removed the boards from the second story windows, and went back to the Office, it duplicated it. My Dad went to the DUPLICATE of construction house again, and it remembered what he did with it (removed boards from the second story windows). He then went to the ORIGINAL(?) version of the house, and the boards were back. He then went to the DUPLICATE house, and the boards were there, too, just like in the ORIGINAL(?).
I'm thinking the duplication glitch is being caused by what is effectively a "Save As" thing, but the autosave feature makes it so that when you go to the first of the two houses then leave, it overwrites the duplicate house (which, up to that point, is correct), as well. Would only playing the duplicate version of the house (never touching the "original") be a workaround for the save issue for now?
My backup save is from the correct time and is a bigger save file, so it looks like it is the correct version I want. However, when I overwrite the UserSaves with my backup saves, the minute I open the game, the save reverts to the smaller size and my house is still not in the correct save, so the backup saves are not working. I always go back to my office, hit esc, and then exit the game, I do not use alt+F4. I've already sent my logs+save file in to support. Hopefully you will be able to fix this problem soon :)
No alt+F4
Never backed up my saves
I played for about 4 hours, having over 5 hours into my house. I quit from the esc menu from the house, didn't go back to the office first. When I launched the game today it has nothing from that play session and my time on that house is back down to 1.5 hours.
Default profile, never created a second one. Steam cloud saving is also on.
