Equipment is stuff like BBQ, gazebo, the pools, playground stuff, etc. That list is what is needed for getting some points into that in the American section.
BBQ is a must for it.
While other contests have other equipment that is required.
Crop needs stuff like scarecrow, tool shed and compost bin.
English needs the metal gazebo thingy, along with bird baths, non-modern fountains, that wooden bench with the lattice behind it...
Modern is all the modern furniture that looks like you shouldn't keep them outside but apparently you do.
I got a perfect score on the Crop garden equipment, too, but I'm still not sure what worked as I kinda threw everything at it....it was a bunch of scare crows, composters, shed, dog house, rabbit house, chicken coop, bird houses, kid's playground, and fences, fences, fences...strangely, I think the bat house is what finally got me that last 1/2 a star....but I might have been delirious from planting all those carrots.
American equipment for sure needs a pool, and also the chairs listed under "sun chairs" (otherwise known as beach chairs or what you would find in a navel gazing bohemian's loft in the 1970's) and one or more grills just as a start.
