God:
Zeus
Infinite Blockstring. If you block him at all you just die. Instantly makes him the best character. His zoning game is surprisingly good, with his horizontal fireball being deceptively huge. His trait is absolutely insane, and his other tools are good. Block-string command grab bug means any time he makes you block trait you get a free super.
S:
Buddha
Can kill off any hit with Trait, in any position from any button. Very good fireball and hard-to-see normals. Solid air normals. Can be comboed in ways other characters can't, but when you take damage you get trait so it's mostly OK.
Jesus
Very good confirms. Has an infinite on deep hits. Solid neutral game with Pillar. Has some trouble getting solid hits vs solid zoners (Athena, Zeus). Played with Jesus the least, but he has an infinite so he has to be good.
Odin:
Very good confirms, solid character, shoulder tackle is great. Best super in the game hands down, but can be punished in corner with quicktech so it needs to kill. Great footsie tools with Tornado, and Dog, 5M, and Shoulder Tackle. His jumping normals are very good. Trait is on the weak side.
A:
Athena
j.H, j.M, her fireball, kara 5H (214H 5H) and 5M give her incredible neutral game. Damage is on the low side until she gets trait. Any hit into trait is death, much like Buddha. Can't super midscreen without sacrificing a lot of her BnB which is a bummer. Awkward confirms at times.
GuanGong
The only character with a real high/low game aside from possibly Moses. Very good damage and a great j.H. Great footsie tools, but is slow and his 2L is slow as hell so he can't open people up with frame traps as easily as other characters. One of the few characters that has to take risks since his overhead is punishable.
Moses
Solid damage. Snakes turn out to be pretty terrible since they knock down in an awkward way. Awkward hit confirms (5L 5M Snake, vs 5L 5M 5H 214H), but in the right hands can be good. j.H is stupid good. Trait is interesting, but on the weak side.
B:
Anubis
"Pillar, the character". His only great tool is Pillar. His 236L/M/H is minus on block so it just opens you up to frame traps. Weak trait. Really awful jumping normals.
Sif
Fireball is good. Her 2L is the best in the game by far. Other than that, very stubby normals. Unfortunately has weak damage. Trait is good in some matchups, in others it's decent. 626L is a standing overhead but it doesn't do much damage and has a stubby range.
C:
Amaterasu
214 is good for catching quick rises, and her 623 is unpunishable. Excellent super and trait. Unfortunately, her Zoning isn't effective because it builds trait for the opponent quicker than it does for you, and getting meter for super doesn't compensate since traits are usually better. It also just doesn't do a lot of damage. Her normals are extremely stubby, clunky and slow, and her combos do low damage outside of super/trait.
Basically what this guy said, but for usability Jesus really is God Teir. "Holy Light" can cancel other projectiles thrown at him and "Punishment fist" closes the gap and has great recovery time. Great beginer character with more depth as you play further.
