how do I sell my house?

I want to sell my hut that I start with and become a homeless man with a dog. How do I sell my hut?

There's a little button on the property panel to sell it if you select your property, looks like an upwards arrow if I remember right. You'll have to change your residence to a bunkhouse before you can sell it. You do that by clicking on the bunkhouse and clicking the little key icon.

You have to move into a bunk house to sell a house???? That makes zero sense.....

I have had an extra house in another town that doesn't rent reliably and I have been wanting to ditch it forever now and have been wondering this very question....

and I am certainly not moving into a bunk house to do it lol, this needs to be fixed...

Of course it makes little sense in most cases to move home to a bunkhouse if you have other home buildings. In that case you chose another one as your home.

huh?

I have no option to sell this additional house I have in another town all I can seem to do is rent it....

I am not moving out of my current home to go reside in a bunk house so I can sell that other property.

No, sorry if I wasn't clear. If the house you are trying to sell is your current residence, you need to move your residence to either another house that you own or a bunkhouse. Otherwise, you can sell a house that you aren't living in at any time.

OP was trying to live a homefree lifestyle roaming the map with their dog, so I assumed that the house they were trying to sell was their current residence.

well that still leaves the question how do I sell that house I have searched for this mysterious ability many times over now lol

every property you own has a sell button, unless:
1) its currently rented out. you must first evict the tenant. (via the rental management button, duh!)
2) its your current home
NOTE: 3) you cannot sell a den or a longhouse. period. dunno why...
