SAELIG
Thoughts about game
I have been enjoying the game so far. Currently had utilized the den and other businesses to reach a monopoly on goods for the local market and outside caravans. With the feasts from the longhouse I finally reached Thegn status.

The economic portion of the game seems to be sufficient and well fleshed out. I experimented with both automated and manual which seem to be working as intended. It could always use polish, however I think there is diminishing returns to this.

What really interested me was that there was a combat system which is really rare in these type of games. I really hope that this is expanded on. As right now it is only really playable in 1v1 situations as it seems in group combat, the individual is unable to defend from multiple attacks. It doesn't have to be fancy, what I had in mind could be somewhat similar system such as icewind dale or baldurs gate 1/2.

The viking raids are interesting, I hope to see other outside forces that may form around the map, sorta like poachers/highwaymen/bandit camps.

The loot from the vikings are interesting in the different weapons/properties attached. I hope the equipment/inventory system is expanded on for more individual items with equipment quality attached.

Thank you for the feedback!

There is an interesting new mechanic in the work to build on combat and raids.

Is entertainment broken? I worked a full day as an employee crafting, (my character was not a good crafter) and made 100 g after 1 full work day.... i played my lube in the street, the very first donation i got was 100g..... Next day i quit my job and made over 500 playing half a day after hunting.

SOOOO much easier to befriend the opposite sex, flirt option just makes it easy. Lord forbids the other person does not have a best friend/family or job.

Some skills lvl very fast, like running, but some are super slow, like leather. I heard there is a config file, where can i find it?

I adore the game so far, so pretend i am german, looks like i am complaining, but i actually wanna improve this to make my experience so much better.

Config file is in appdata\locallow\atrorcoppe games. the file is called Saelig, it has instructions built in how to edit it (in notepad is fine) and how to reset it

Put my xp grown to 2x. Leather, meat and bones was taking wayyyy too long. in 2 days hunting ( got 6 lvl of bow, 4 of butchering) and skinning (lvl up twice) made around 300g. rested, ran to the game of the town late evening and made over 1500 playing lute in 1 night. (and lvl up entertainment by 50)

Is there any additional information about this?

Yes, this is one of my frustrations as well.

Currently there is no way to configure individual skills. Hopefully in the future.

Hrm. Interesting.

You see, in my mind, not every skill should level the same. For instance I feel like it would take longer to master armour crafting than cart hauling, you know?

So there is some variance between general skills and more “skilled” skills in terms of how fast they level. Though it isn’t for every skill. It’s just a select few that run on a slightly different metric.

Thoughts?

100% agree.
But still feels off. very off.
If possible, is there a way you can get skill points while executing the action instead of just the end reseult?
I can shoot an arrow on a target and get 10 lvls in 1 afternoon. I spend a 10 hours skinning pelt to get 1 lvl when i am done making it. If i progress a little while working at it, may feel like you are progressing.
Maybe lvl lower lvl faster and late lvl slower to compensate.

Very good point. Skill points are for the most part based on success or failure, rather than the action itself.

Even something like archery, it is based on whether a target is hit or not. But obviously when you're doing archery you have a lot higher throughput than when working leather.

Let me ponder it.
That seems to be a reason why outdoor activities level faster than tasks in businesses because outdoor every piece is a success whereas in businesses it is per batch. I guess that levelling by time exercising a task would considerably level that.
