houses rent or sell?
When my man got married, he gained another house as well as businesses. Is it best to rent out the spare house or sell it. Currently trying to rent it without success and selling seems to be to the town at half price?

I guess it all depends on your needs at the moment and your play style. If you start out with beggar or something and you marry up socially then you may want to move into her house and sell off the little hut to upgrade your new home a bit. But if you started out with 14000 and already have a fully upgraded house and she only has a hut then you are better off renting it out and slowly upgrading it when you have spare money. Be sure you keep raising the rent every time you upgrade it. And eventually you can get a hut to cover all the wages at a bakery or something. And even when nobody is living in the hut it doesn't cost you anything to have it on the market waiting for a new tennant. It's pretty much free money that you don't need to use resources for.

So TL;DR Sell it if it's worse than what you have and need money to upgrade your house. Otherwise keep it for the long term investment.

Homes are a bad investment. Sell it, even if it goes out cheaper. Use the money to buy a workshop such as metalworker and leatherworker. Become a landlord only once you have no more businesses to invest in.

Keep in mind the class restrictions. If you are a Kotsetla you are only entitled to 3 properties. In that case it is better to sell excessive homes and build businesses instead.
Always make sure that you have your own home and upgrade to better beds in order to get the well rested and healthy mind buffs. Healthy mind seems to give you triple learning rate.

Once you made it to Geneat class you can have a large number of properties. Then it depends on the map you play on and the situation of the village you live in. I think it is wise to find your niche and focus on businesses which produce goods not already on the market or in low supply. You need a market for your products and stable access to resources needed. Competing against another business of same type tends to decrease prices.
