Guest Rooms
"Guest Rooms allow patrons to spend the night for a small fee"

I've only been playing this game nonstop for two days and finally moved on from my Bakehouse to owning an Alehouse and I just upgraded and got the Guest Rooms feature. Its been a whole 4 seasons now and I have not noticed any "small fee" of any sort coming to me for people staying in my Alehouse. Am I doing something wrong, possibly not setting a price like for renting a house or is this a current bug?

thanks for any help in advance! <3

People who have enough money and who are currently drinking at your alehouse can choose to stay. It really does depend on the number of patrons and the amount of money they have.

Could probably tweak the chances tho. It also isn't super obvious when it happens. Just a small money notification.

Yea, I have also had the same problem. I've been closely watching my finances to see and I haven't had anyone choose to stay in several seasons.

I get a notification from time to time that i get 50 gold (if i remember right of the price) for renting a bed in my alehouse. So it does work, but i think it's too rare. There're people from other villages who visit my alehouse. It would make sense, if they would rent a bed if it's too late and they are tired. But most of them are going the long way back home, even if they are tired.
On a lucky evening, i rented out 2 beds, the other room stays empty all the time.
It would be nice if this would be tweaked, just a little bit :)

Same with me, my alehouse has had maybe 10 or more years in a high rent town with absolutely no money made from the guest rooms and no one using it. The entertain guests upgrade isn't working either as the employees don't gain any experience. I've also noticed that on auto the AI doesn't ever use entertain and regularly makes the most expensive to make (low sell items) with no consideration for the market and doesn't preload any goods until the production is at a full stop. I think the tavern needs a lot of work, I haven't tried and other businesses yet.

“doesn't preload any goods until the production is at a full stop”

What does that mean?

Sorry I don't think I was clear, I mean the AI doesn't buy and then load goods into the alehouse inventory until you have completely run out and the production has stopped for a long while. Its not keeping the supply chain running and a lot of time is spent doing nothing.

This *can* depend on the budget set for the goods. If they don’t have enough budget to buy the goods then they won’t buy any. Which is why they may seem to be doing nothing.

They don’t buy new goods until they need them but should buy them straight away, as long as budget allows.

The items they make is also decided by the market quantities and upgrades (as long as you don’t set any focus productions). If you set focus productions this will override the market quantity triggers.

Thanks for the info I thought production focus was required lol and had all 4 on. To let you know the AI seemed to only focus on a single focus production until It had completely ran out of materials, The AI never bought for multiple focused productions even when some of the other focuses were more profitable and the materials were available. In my game the AI mass sold goods causing the price on mead to collapse and be worth less then ale. Even though there was an abundance of materials for ale at the market the AI continued to make mead and buy its rarer materials at high cost. I had both the ale and mead focused at the time and thought it would just switch to the cheaper one.

Cheers. Thank you for the info. I’ll do some tweaks.
