Question about the beginning of Act 3
I finished Act 2 a long while back, and was happy to hear Act 3 was available. When it starts out though, I have a quest to "liberate the town", and a suggestion that I could use a pile of dirt square to establish a base.

Well, trying to capture the dirt pile is suicide for me. Is this actually something to be done waaaay later, or am I just underpowered? Do I just explore a while?

Thanks...Sandsifter

Hey Sandsifter,

You should probably explore untill you're powerful enough to establish your base. You might have reached the act underpowered, but you can probably make up for it.

i know your feel, this mission is such a difficulty spike and was honestly the hardest part of the entire campaign;

i did it straight away and it is possible (at least on normal difficulty)

One incredibly helpful tip: There are vases with red hearts around them scattered around all crypt maps; when you destroy them with an attack all units around the vase will be healed for 5 health
best to do this when all enemys are defeated so you can group up your units around it, just see that damage is evenly distributed among your heroes

Things i did not try but might work:
there are two neutral bases on the map that are only lightly defenden; you have to look for them and i can´t say if they are always there but i would assume it; they are only normal captures with 4 enemies in them and should give you a much easier time especialy since you will then be able to utilise guild upgrades

Thanks derw4tz. I didn't know about the vases...suspected something, but never had a need to try it in the first 2 acts. I notice a ton of other destructible items in the crypt; anything else that might be useful breaking?

Thanks

there are several of these objects scattered across all acts

act 1 / forest has only some bomb barrels and chests with potions
act 2 / cavern has these shrines that give either health, cd reduction (theres a green one, don´t remember what it does
act 3 / crypt has these vases, the heart one heal you, one does frost aoe (its not mana) and fire grail; there were more but i did not try them

that are the ones i can remember out of the top of my mind

game on; when i first played that mission i also searched the forum if anyone felt something off about the difficulty, so i feel you

especially since act 2 starts the same way and that mission isn´t nearly as difficult :D

Hi,

The upcoming patch reduces a bit the difficulty in this mission, as we tested it out after this (and other) feedback and feel that you're right about it being too hard.

First i explored a little and conquered blue city on the left, then explored more and conquered secon blue cit on the right, then explored eeverything and conquered white city and destroyed all moving teams, blocked last blue city on top with my second team, then conquered the dirt, made every upgrades possible in towns, including dirt, then move with the original quest, otherwise its a little hard to make win
