Retail version doesnt recognize the cd, need help please

Hi guys,

first, sorry for my english.

I bought sudden strike 4 and get the 1-3 parts for free. But in the sudden strike 3 steam version, the cheats doesnt work. No idea why not included. So i found a older retail version and installed this, with original cd.

Now when i start the game, it tell me everytime it needs the original cd, but its still in the dvd-player. the game doesnt recognize the cd......

I tried to update the game with patches, to start as administrator, different compatibility modi, the other dvd-player, installed it at different places and so on. But nothing let it run, the game doesnt recognize the cd.

Anybody a helpfull idea? thanks

what i forgot, my system is running with Windows 10 pro

I read somewhere on the web that some games have pb with CD protection with Win 10 (Tagesprotection).

Maybe you can search information on the web.

thanks for your help, it was working....

but now, i have other problems...
Version 1.0 (from the cd) dont run, i get a open error with the lua.files
Version 1.2 (update with patch), some cheats are working but when i open the map, i see some giant red walls in the game, not playable....
Version 1.4 (patch) doesnt support any cheats....

So, i am back to the beginning ;-))) and i waste enough time with this game, i will wait for ss4.

Installing the version 1.4 patch then the Tages 64 bit from here http://www.tagesprotection.com/main.htm finally fixed my 'please insert the dvd' error despite the fact the real dvd was inserted.
