Please try installing an older DirectX version.
While testing the old games, this worked for some tests, when we received similar errors.
Check and install DirectX End-User Runtimes April 2006 and June 2007.
Additionally you should start the game as administrator and also check, if the game runs properly when setting compatibility mode to, e.g. WinXP SP2.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing problems. I am running the game right now on a Win10 64bit system so I know that it is definitely possible. As it doesn't run for you guys, there must be some common culprit and I am trying to find it out. We had the game checked externall before release and each problem could be fixed by installing DirectX End-User Runtimes April 2006 and June 2007. But also that does not seem to work for a lot of you.
Can I ask if there are certain Virusscanners or Firewall programs running on your systems that might interfere?
Many greetings,
Chris
