Frequent game freeze problem

Hi guys, this goes out to all of you but mainly the DEVS of this game. I've just bought it because I loved Plague Inc. and watched some gameplay of this game and fell in love with it. HOWEVER, the screen freezes every 2-5 minutes, while the game continues. I can still "click" things from memory and I hear everything happening, but the screen just freezes and doesn't switch at all. Now, I must mention that I play on a low-end laptop, although it runs everything, eve if laggy (Warface, Far Cry 4, Resident Evil Revelations 2, and the likes), so I don't think that the screen freeze should be because of the low-end laptop. How can I fix this? I tried lowering the graphics to minimum, even running the game windowed, nothing worked. Since I've bought this game literally ~40 minutes ago, I'm pretty irritated. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you for the answers!

EDIT: I was able to play some matches from beginning to end, and what I concluded is: the screen freezes either in the main menu OR when on the screen where I spend bio points, but never mid-game on the game screen with the human body. Which is not so annoying in the Death campaing, but in the Life campaign, where I have to thoroughly examine every symptom there and every illness to get the best diagnosis, I don't like when I must think fast and can'T take my time fearing that the game might freeze xD

Pretty irritating indeed... I presumed you tried changing the graphics quality and resolution already? Would you mind sharing your laptop specs?

We are still working on performance improvement. So essentially your issues are only while being in the Bio Map?

Thanks for the reply! My specs are (from what I could gather)

Processor: Intel Core i3-4005U, 1.70 GHz
OS: Win10 Pro, x64
RAM: 4 GB
Motherboard: I didn't manage to figure that out, but from what I've found in System Information, it's an integrated Lenovo motherboard (as my laptop is a Lenovo)

Please forgive me, I'm the worst kind of game who has a hard time even finding his own specs X"D
but as I said, I don't think this should be the prblem of the specs, as it runs games w/o crash even if laggy, so... I'm kinda stuck. And as I said in the post, "I tried lowering the graphics to minimum, even running the game windowed, nothing worked." Of course, I understand that this is an early access title and I hope a lot of these issues will be addressed and fixed in the future, but having completed all but one Death stages, I'd really love to jump into the Life campaign, as that looks the most promising, but can't really do that RN.

Also, I'm here to say that if you can sort this problem out, so I can spend time on the bio screen w/o any freezes, AND if you're planning to translate this game to other languages, I can translate it to Hungarian during the summer (July-August, after my exams period) as I happen to be studying translation at the university and am a native speaker of Hungarian ;) Maybe.... even to Japanese, as this is what I study at the uni, Translation from and to Japanese, but I'm not sure about that just yet, but we'll see. It's a matter of how much time I will have, but if needed, I can work on it as well.

Why cant u bind mouse to Window?
No Borderless Fullscreen in 2018?

Looks like some memory leak? With fresh start it doesn't freeze, only after hour of play it starts.

Am I the only one still experiencing this after two years?

I'm playing in 3440x1440 on "Fantastic" quality settings, but I figured a game like this would run just fine with maxed out settings on Ryzen 2700X, GTX 1080Ti & 32GB DDR4 RAM, but apparently not?
