Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6850 @3.00GHz, x64 based processor.
4 GB Ram
nVidia GeForce GT 730 1920x1080 resolution.
Found the GAME_EXE.EXE file.
Properties->Compatibility->Override High DPI Scaling Behavior, Scaling performed by application.
-> Disable Full Screen Optimizations
Didn't work for me! Any solutions?

This worked for me. 9/2/18 Win10x64, Intel 8xxx proc, Vega 64
Run in compatibility mode for various versions of windows,
Run in 256 colors
Run in 640 x 480 (too small)
Disable visual themse
Disable desktop comosition
Disable displat scaling on high DPI settings
I've tried these individually, does anyone have any idea of what combination might work to enable me to play SS1?
Im running Windows 7 Pro 8GB RAM Intel i5 @2.4GHz
Because it's a very very good game. No idea why steam does not optimize the game to modern standards though, this should not be up to the customer to be honest.
But what can I say Steam is garbage overall so is everything else connected to steam and Valve.
