there are defense stat for that.
and for impact it is increasing critical hit rate for both spell and physical damage, the higher impact the higher chance for critical hit.
CMIIW
Attack actually increases heal and spell damage as well, useful info to know.
As per impact, the tooltip luckily is pretty obvious, I was hoping more for a brainstorming of ideas.
full energy had biggest dmg output (DPS), full attack was higher in dmg, but lower on DPS - was using dark tree from ora mage
less energy - lower mana pool - lower bonus on skill (mp to dmg)
Had a chat with a full Impact mage, he gained 13% in crit, compared to me being full energy.
I'm finding it hard to justify that 13% with almost 7k mana loss, not talking about the skill damage loss as well.
How did more damage resulted in less dps? Could you please elaborate on that?
lets say skill make 4-8k dmg
so the formula is ((4-8k)+att) * skill multiply
full attack - lets say it makes 6-9k
full energy - lets say it makes 5-10k
so the dmg is higher, but dps lower - dunno if you will understand it ;)
Don't forget, staff get Spell Damage, wich is NOT displa; So even full damage you have SD.
Need to see the cycle of your DPS too. And to check everything, we need a dps meter, that we don't have; In your math case, DPS is the same...
Maybe you are talking about "DPS" in the windows "stat detail" ?
In all case, not all the skills react the same when you up a stat.
It's easy to understand: individual damage will be higher, but less crit means lower damage per second. the ideal mage would be full energy with all stat jewel, combined with all stat buff food, crit elixir and crit damage talisman.
