Storm catchers?

How do you connect each storm catcher? I cant figure it out.

One can be set up at the burger shop by talking to the sergeant, another one can be connected on top of the tall tree in the hunting cabin by using an extension cord through the window from the inside, of course the solar panels have to be cleaned using the broomstick found in the cabin. I haven't found the third place yet but those two sufficed for me to survive the night. Even if you don't connect all three the two storm catchers reduced the storm by 5% each.

Oh and if you haven't found the location of the hunting cabin you have to read all the e-mails in the computer in the HQ building.

The last storm catcher has to be set up on the crane, you need to put it to the cablebox
