Any Items of particular Uselessness?

Now that I have done every possible thing there is to do in this game apart from making hard saves of every finishing moment and making unhelpful adjustments to my preparations to see how imperfect endings look, I am trying to figure out if any items are of no use at all or if I am missing something.

For example, the dark grey rock on day 3. What's it for? And can the flamethrower do anything apart from act as a heat source on cold day 2?

the rock is for breaking the glass on the lower level if you don't have any other items to break it
the flamethrower from what i know is not use full for anything other than not doing the night 1 spiders and insects perfect

The propane hose and the food you can sometimes get on Day 3 are both utterly useless and I think that's it. Even the dead bird is used for at least an achievement. Everything else is depends on what event you get or how you approach things.

From my attempts, the flamethrower is no use on bandit night.

So far, the food on bandit day 3 and the propane hose on day 2 are determined worthless

How about the 3 stacks of documents in the office? do they serve any function other than lore? Are they important takeaways for the true ending?

Food on bandit day 3 can be given to Cody if you feel like it. Otherwise it has no practical purpose.

3 documents in the office only serve for lore purpose from what I know of. They don't seem to affect the true ending in any way.

The flamethrower can also be used on Day 3 Bandits instead of a Rifle or melee weapon though it only kills one of them

The dead bird you get from the chimney has no actual uses but you can get some funny responses if you try to give it to your friends. You can keep it to get the achievement "Dead bird space" when you take it with you onto the spaceship on Day 4

Yeah, but it's also the only way, as far as I know, to light the fireplace during cold day 2
