Ending explanation? (spoilers)

we know that Barry is assumed to adopt Cody, but what about Cate's ending. Her ending shows a computer with what i assume is David on it and then it ends. What are their respective endings after the true end?

I think most assume Cate finds David once they escape but it hasn't been 100% confirmed and probably won't be

Are you sure it was Barry that adopted Cody? I thought David did. Do you have a picture of the hand holding the adoption papers?

Sorry i don't have a photo or screenshot of the ending screen itself, what i know is that in the true end the hand holding the adoption form is Barry's judging by the skin colour of the hand. Also it is in the same cell that transitions to Barry shaking hands with someone after so i assume that's Barry's ending.

Figure the "canon" ending is David is reading the paper on the street with Cate apparently watching him via surveillance cameras going to her computer. Cody gets his tiger back and is in the orphanage while Barry and his wife sign papers to adopt him.

That said, it depends on how your play-through went down. It could be David just reading the paper because Barry and Cody died on Day 3 during the Awakening while Cate because you (deliberately) failed to get 100% of the Fuel or Air. Not sure if it's possible but if Cody died on Awakening Day 3 but Barry didn't then Barry and his wife will be adopting some other kid.
