Help me get my mods to work

on a tutorial of how to install mods I saw someone said you have to launch the game via a script extender SKSEVR. when I attempt to open the script extender I am met with a message reading - "Could not find skyrim vr". I dont know where to put the SKSE file for it to be able to "find skyrim vr"

When you install the script extender it MUST be the one for Skyrim VR not the one for Skyrim Special Edition (easy mmistake to make ) Though I am guessing you have the correct one due to your error message.

The sksevr_loader.exe MUST be in the same folder as the skyrim executable.

Under <GAME_FOLDER>/Data/SKSE

There may be a file called skse.ini you can delete this - it's mainly used to tell sksevr_loader.exe what the SkyrimVR.exe is called if you have renamed it. OR you can use it to tell the script extender where SkyrimVR.exe is.

the contents of mine is:

Now. Here's a thing - I personally cannot get the script extender to load AT ALL. It knows where my skyrim executable is but all I get in return is "failed to allocate space for trampoline, no free space before image. This is fatal ".. Skyrim VR runs but only with mods that. I am sure it used to work but now it doesn't and nobody knows why. Good luck.

I put the sksevr_loader.exe under the folder you said - <GAME_FOLDER>/Data/SKSE I am still gettign the pop up message reading - "Couldn't find SkyrimVR.exe." I then tried to put the launcher under many different files to get it to work and still no luck. After putting it under the "Skyrim Vr" folder I was met with a message reading - "REL/Relocation.h Required Vr address library file Data/SKSE/Plugins/version - 1-4-15.0csv does not exist." I tried to find the skse.ini file you talked about but could not find it, when you talk about where it is for you, you mention it is under "[loader]
RuntimeName="SkyrimVR.exe," I do not know where that is located, I did find a located under the Skyrim vr folder named "src," under this file there is a folder named "sksevr" and under that there is folders such as "Skse64," "Skse64_common." "skse64_loader_common," and Sksevr.sln" I have many different SkseVR loaders because I tried reinstalling it in hopes it would work. Thank you for the quick response and helpfulness.

you download the files on https://skse.silverlock.org/
if you use vortex, just drag and drop the compressed skse vr then in vortex you set mods and download tabs.
On the dashboard there's a section called : TOOLS
click on + and edit the path for the skse vr .exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR\sksevr_loader.exe
and that's it
