This can happen, if the mod list is unstable. If unmodded Skyrim does this, better verify the game files or completely reinstall the game.

There is a crashlogger out there that put out a log of the crash and some people can tell you from that crash log, what mod did cause this. But I can not. Sorry.

For less headaches, I recommend using Wabbajack instead of modding yourself (but a VR wabbajack, not a non-VR wabba, it will not work right). As the autors of these list try to create mod lists that run stable and crush free.
I installed 10 or so mods with vortex and vortex doesnt seem to detect any conflict, i read that shadows settings may have something to do with crashes?

It does not matter if Vortex tells you there is no conflict. It could still be a problem.
Also there are mods, that work perfectly fine for 60 hours and then ruin your save and you need to start over.

Or mods that do not correctly shut down scripts it started and make the game slower and slower and cause freezes and stuff and all this may start only after 20. 30, 40 hours of gameplay. Ruining it. Need to start over, because its not recommended to remove a mod mid-game.

Also, not all SE mods are compatible with the VR version.

EDIT: Thats why .... less headache of one uses a wabbajack that someone tinkers with since years to make it perfectly stable and good. And that thousands of people beta-tested. Than going through all this all by onerself. Except if you are a person who loves modding more than playing. That exists. lol
Damn, does an uninstall from vortex move all the mods or do i have to do something else before getting wabbajack?

I was encountering weird crashes. I saw a Reddit post in r/SkyrimVR that suggested blocking the SkyrimVR.exe in your firewall. I've done this and it's resolved the issue for me.

The firewall trick doesn't seem to work for me, still crashing opening doors.

Crashes are unfortunately part of the experience. Having said that, most sessions (1-2 hrs) I have no crashes. For me this mod helped general stability

When you click on the latest release it has the files and instructions
https://github.com/rollingrock/EngineFixesVR/releases/tag/v1.22

To install drop the part1 zip in your data directory or use a mod manager. Configure the ini file if you want to disable features.

Also the "EngineFixesVR_part2.zip" zip file needs to be extracted to your main SkyrimVR folder or the plugin will not load correctly
