Melee combabt
Is absolutely awesome.. I fail to see why people complain about it at all?
Being completely serious, I was on the fence for skyrim VR for a long time because I heard the melee combat was bad.

It's an absolute MOUNTAIN better than vanilla skyrim.
I play a dual wielding orc and I literally just bash people to death. It's awesome and feels awesome.


I'm honestly wondering what's wrong with it that people don't like?

I went in expecting skyrim combat and I've come out thoroughly impressed and convinced that VR is the only option for bethesda in the future (at least for me). The combat is so stale normally (just click, whack, click whack, whack, whack, done) in comparison to actually swinging the axes in any direction you want (even hitting enemies with the backsides of the weapon). Additionally skyrim VR is the first edition without mods where dual wielding actually works and isn't essentially just the same as wielding a single weapon.

challenge me on this because I want to know.

probably because they are too noob to know how to modify the Ini, vanilla VR you just move your hands for 1 cm and that's all you need to make the game detect your movement and make your sword kill stuff, it feels very unrealistic, but if you tweak the ini and change the velocity required to register a melee hit to 6 times the original then you have to really swing your controllers around like an actual sword to kill stuff.

The only issue I have is the lack of haptic feedback, would make a huge difference to feel the impacts register in your hands (motion controllers).

Do you know if "My Home is Your Home (MHiYH 2plus) - SSE" works with Sky UI VR?

it says it needs:

1) Latest Version of SKSE64 and all of its requirements
2) Latest Version of SkyUI SSE and all of its requirements

I don't, I guess you'd just have to try it. Most mods that require SkyUI do so just for the MCM so I guess that's probably not an issue. It's more likely whether it genuinely requires the latest version of SKSE to work or not as the VR version is an older version.

Only one thing that anoys me with melee combat and that is with a Sin and dual daggers on Falmar you have a hard time to hit them, they hold out there arms and the arm is not valed hit point and you cant reatch there cheast/head, dont know how many times i died from that.

And no i will not use a bow :)
