What is the best key binding for Skyrim VR with Index

I want to play Skyrim as a Vampire, I downloaded Better Vampires by Berhanin, as I have done before. I get to hot key the bite attack, however it will not let me bind/select and controller key or combo keys. So I am guessing I need a key binder mod??
IS this correct or am I missing something?

What you need is the VRIK mod and the corresponding VRIK controller bindings. Then you shouldn't run into any issues. Index controllers are not actually supported natively, VRIK fixes that. VRIK and HIGGS mods are essential for Skyrim VR.

ok I have both of those and they are working, but in the MCM for Better Vampires (which is not written for VR) it allows me to select a "hot Keys" for the Bite Attack. But it wanted me to select the hot key from the keyboard. I could not figure out how to select a "key" on my controller to do this.

I have a fix for this now, DragonbornSpeaksNaturally mod. I was in Skyrim VR, went to MCM for Better Vampires, went to the hot key assignment, took my headset off and keyboard out, selected U, with the help of another mod Menu Mouse Fix VR. Assigned U as the hot key, then went into DragonbornSpeaksNaturally config file and put this

I bite you=press u

Now (it's a little funny) but, I sneak up on my victim and say out loud "I bite You" and my character actually does the bite attack

If it's possible and you have the time, can you tell me how exactly I can use the VRIK and Higgs to do this.

Well, if it's working via voice command, what else do you want? I'm almost certain you can bind "press u" through VRIK mcm, if that's what you want. The touchpad is usually free for other uses, so just bind it. I'm using it for spell wheel. Dunno, if that helps... I'm not using that vampire mod, so maybe I'm not the right person to help you out here after all.
