99% of the mods we use are from SE, those mods expect the masters to be clean.
so I cleaned the masters as normal. ( backed them up first)

the new master
SkyrimVR.esm had 6 ITM's and 0 URD's

Tes5Edit is very much for modding enthusiasts. It's a tool that helps mess with plugin files (.esp) and master files (.esm) without having to use the Creationkit, and more extensively.

You can refer to Gopher's breakdown of what cleaning does here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw3g_N1jcZQ

Cleaning the games master files can make the game a little more stable, and gets rid of a lot of redundancy. The video I linked is really helpful and can explain it a lot better than a single forum post can (atleast from me).

Tes5Edit working for SkyrimVR is exciting news because of making merged level lists :>
