Game Looks Bloody Fantastic, and a PSA: Fallrim Tools
First, the PSA: if you are getting a lot of "freezing" in-game, where VR goes back to SteamVR for like a minute while the game appears frozen on the desktop, and then it resumes, and then a bit later it freezes again, etc etc, then download the Fallrim Tools and try cleaning your save game: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031
This TOTALLY fixed the problem for me. I was then able to re-install a bunch of mods I had erroneously believed were causing the slowdowns (process of elimination, LOL) and my game is running flawlessly now.
EDIT: also, turn off Autosaves, and don't use Quicksaves: apparently both/either can f*ck up your savegames.

PSA aside, I'm running a bunch of immersion and audio/visual mods (see below). Also running Sin Xtreme Realism ENB and the game just looks terrific: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/831 I like it a lot better than Skyrim Re-Engaged (colors in that one were too extreme for my tastes, but to each their own). Watching sunsets from my Lakeview home = f*cking awesome. Anyone questioning why any of us would happily pay $60 for a VR port of an 11-year-old game we already own just won't understand. And who cares--this game isn't for them. I'm walking around in SKYRIM, dammit, and it looks and feels f*cking fantastic!

However, full disclosure,I am running on an older CPU, despite having a decent GPU, so I am getting some reprojection, but it's bearable to me:
AMD 8350 Black Edition (4.0GHz)
16GB 1600DDR3 RAM
Asus Strix GTX 1080Ti 11GB
SSD (old)
Steam SS = 200%, in-game set to 0.
Steam SS set to manual (none of that auto-adjusting $hit they recently imposed on us).

I'll soon be upgrading to an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 16GB 3000 DDR4, MSI X470 Gaming Plus MoBo and a Samsung 960 EVO SSD, so I expect any CPU bottlenecking I'm getting now will be well and truly behind me, and re-projection is likely to be a distant memory for me.

By the way, if anyone does try the Sin Xtreme Realism ENB, I do suggest turning off the "Color Correction" option (it actually adjusts gamma) otherwise you're going to run into some really dark nights, and all ENB's tend to break Night Eye, so that can't be relied upon to work. Otherwise, it looks awesome.

Yup, can confirm that cleaning save files with Fallrim fixed my performance.. By the way I have an i5 2500k @4.2, 1070 gtx, 16GB. There is a reddit post suggesting an issue with the i5 cpus but this fixed my stuttering. It cleaned 100 orphaned files lol, it must have been from removing different mods that are script heavy. Now to try some ENB, thx for suggestion bro.

Cool mod list I'm cherry picking from this. So I'm using Re Engaged ENB and with default settings I get around 58 to 60 in most places. I'm curious about what the TI is giving you using i'm guessing maxed out settings in your ENB setup. How's the performance? I do okay considering my mod list running on a 1070 and an I5 6500 16gb ram.

I've pasted my 2 enb ini files below. I actually turned off a bunch of effects I didn't want, like bloom, eye adaptation and depth of field--also the "useproceduralcorrection" which is what put the gamma back to normal (nights were pitch black, even with moon- and star-light, and lanterns/torches barely helped)--there might be a better way to do this, but I have to play with it some more... The game seemed to run about as well with those other settings on, but I may have gained a slight bump to performance by disabling them. Still looks great though. I'm using the ENB mainly to improve clarity, and I have to say things are looking the sharpest I've seen them while still having TAA on; when I turn TAA off in-game, yeah it gets even crisper, but at the expense of the shimmery/flickery edges to textures and such, but I'm happy with what this ENB gives me with TAA on. Also, I should mention in my NVIDIA control panel settings I have anisotropic filtering set to 16x, and am using maximum performance setting for power, and maximum quality for texture filtering. I have in-game settings all set to the max.
Game looks and runs beautifully. I may be getting some reprojection in some areas, but it's barely noticeable if it is. Compared to Fallout4VR, this game runs like a dream.
However, that being said, I do notice some weird slowdowns in shop interiors. I believe it's when I have a number of NPCs in the room with me, and my guess is that with all the extra AI mods have I have running that it's putting strain on my CPU--the GPU seems to be handling its end just fine though.
Most importantly, my wife Serana looks fantastic. :) Seriously, with Seranaholic installed, CBBE body and decked out in her Golden Saint armor... wow.

I have the freezing problem too, I'll try this when I get home tonight. Thanks for the tip! :)

Yeah about the same for me. I have Nvidia settings cranked up plus max performance on. It really runs beautifully especially in doors with shadow effects and flames lighting. Haven't played with the ENB settings too much just yet but you've given me some pointers to look at. I'll just have to play around and see what works. Can never get enough frames always more more more. Thanks for posting your settings also.

Hey lemme know how it goes. I got a reply in the Sin Xtreme Realism ENB thread on Nexus about adjusting gamma settings since my nights ended up pitch-black, so I'm hoping to get a chance to play and try those recommendations this weekend.

If you go to the SkyrimVr reddit front page there's a new ENB by boris up there. I have it installed now. Checking it out. It's particularly updated and optomized for Skyrim VR

Nice! I'll add that in with my SinX ENB tomorrow. Boris has been great about getting the base ENB working for VR.
