Not a mod but makes tweaking any INI settings a breeze as also list the original values if you mess something up.
I haven't settled on any conclusive numbers for the TXAA yet so you'll need to check Reddit to experiment with settings that users there have posted.
I tried to mimic my settings from F4VR but it was still way too blurry. I mostly run with the TXAA off but the aliasing during the day is pretty bad. Looks lovely at night so I'm in two minds whether to leave it off or not.
Or max ingame slider?
Ingame. Actually, I don’t see it in steam vr settings anymore. I have it at 2.0 in the SteamVR overlay though.
Under "Video" there's a box to un-check to get it back to manual override, the way it used to be but it now sets this automatically depending on your GPU.
Then there's another tab for "applications" where you can go in and add to the previous multiplier on a game by game basis so you can create a profile for each game.
Then there's the slider ingame which multiplies it again.
I've been tweaking all these up and down for a week but yet to decide which version is the most efficient between Steam and/or ingame.
Ohhh, guess I missed the update. I’ll check when I get home. Wonder if it’s also stacking the SteamVR overlay ss. If it is, I’m running 2 x max (ingame) x whatever is in the video section.
My batch file is a simple text file called 'aa.txt' which is dropped into the main SkyrimVR folder and executed by typing 'bat aa' in the console.
Currently it contains the following:
taa hf 0.5000
taa ps 0.675
taa po 0.675
taa sharp 1.000
taa lf 0.5000
I am pretty happy with the results although I am not totally sure those values are loaded. It could be I am just imagining it's working.....!?
...However: the edges of objects get all shiny/shimmery, which I find distracting and somewhat nauseating after a while. Running at 200% SS in Steam, with quality textures (Vivid Landscapes, Noble Skyrim, etc). Especially noticeable around things like the stick fences, etc. Any way to fix this without turning TAA back on?
I like the 2017 4K textures. But for me, with or without those, also running at 200% SS, I can just stand somehwere, anywhere, and turn TAA on and OFF in the game and it looks noticeably better and sharper with it off. The only time I ever see any type fickering is on snow on mountains. That may be something else entirely though, haven't had time to try to debug that one.
