You should also look into wabbajack as its a very straightforward usually few click way to mod your game into the thousands of mods.
I play vr games in the Index. I have had the orig Occulus Rift, and a Rift S and the Index is the best you can really get for the money. A more affordable headset I hear to go with is the Quest 2 with a wire link to your pc.
Most people can run an index up to its native resolution with no issues. Most people cannot run the pimax 8kx up to its full potential without using the built in software upscaler. People have also complained about the HMD feeling cheap and the IPD being horrible meaning the sweetspot is the smallest of all the headsets offered today.
Very happy with it. I can run all ultra and super sample 200% and still stay above 45fps for reprojection with tons of graphics mods installed. It is crystal clear and butter smooth.
Extremely pleased with it. I play gamepad VR seated, so most negative reviews are not relevant for me because most negative reviews are about 'proper' VR integration with roomscale and stuff.
Is it possible to just play seated with the headset for looking around but still use keyboard and mouse like you normally play with a monitor?
